Bagh is one of the greenest cities of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, as is reflected from its name “Baghâ€, meaning “gardenâ€. It spread over an area of 1,368 sq km, with
population of 0.3 million. This city is near from Muzaffarabad, Rawalkot, and Islamabad, and placed on the confluence of two rivers Mahl and Mahlwani, which flows all the year around. Main sources of economy are Agriculture and forestry. The mountains of this region generally covered with coniferous forests. Wild life of the district mostly confined in famous Haveli range, where leopard, bear, markhore, chakore and others commonly found. This city has developed into a best tourist destination and important trade center after 1987. The major crops of Bagh are wheat, rice, maize, and gram. As well as the soil of

Dheerkot: This beautiful place of Bagh is located 1676 meters high, with a mountainous landscape. Dhirkot is a popular tourist destination due to its easy access amazing landscape with Kail and Deodar forests, and charming beauty. This city has an extremely pleasant and healthy climate, and it linked with all parts of Azad
Kashmir by direct transport services. In the heart of the calm and captivating forest of Kail and Deodar, there is a posh forest rest house, visitor’s huts and log huts, greatly sought out by tourists in summer. Dhirkot is famous for its fruits, especially apricots and apples.
Lasdanna: This area linked with Bagh through long road, surrounded by natural beauty and captivating scenes. A tourist rest house is obtainable here for residency.
Suddhen Gali: Located at a height of 2134 meters, this picturesque region links Chikkar with Bagh. It also serves as a main campsite for hikers, to the nearby “Ganga Chotiâ€.
Neela Butt: This place well known for its historic background and mesmerizing beauty. About 6 km away from Dheerkot, this spot is located at an altitude of 2000 meters.
Ganga Peak: Known as Crown of Bagh city, this peak is approximately 10,200 feet high, placed in the Pir Panjal Range. Locally called “Ganga Chotiâ€, it is an ultimate place for hikers. The hike to Ganga offers stunning views of the valley and meadows. This whole area heavily roofed by snow in summer, and here the best camping places is near the famous Shepherd’s huts.
