Experience Hawaiian Luau
A trip to Hawaii is incomplete without experiencing something of its unique culture. Vacation travel deals often include Luau as part of the packaged trip to give tourists a taste of Hawaiian culture. Luau is a traditional Hawaiian feast prepared for visitors of the island. Luau is
a great way to sample the island’s local food and an absolute must for a foodie. Luaus take at a variety of locations at the islands including resorts. Luau feast is usually accompanied by typical Polynesian entertainment. If you want to experience Hawaiian Luau but it is not a part of the vacation package then do keep in mind that prices of Luaus vary from place to place and they can be quite expensive.
A traditional Luau feast usually contains delicacies like Kalua pig which is pork wrapped in banana leaves and cooked in traditional earthen pots, poi which is a staple dish in Hawaii, it is made of mashed boiled taro root, Lau Lau which is steamed chicken, fish or pork wrapped in taro leaves amongst other dishes. Luaus are often served buffet style so one can have as much of their favorite Hawaiian dish as they please.
Entertainment is very important in a Luau and one can expect traditional Polynesian chants and music as well as the famous Hula dance.
