Do you want to feel the wind in your face, the saltiness of the sea, the crash of the waves and the lifestyle of a typical fishing village? You would think that as much as Scotland is modern and citified, there are still some areas that can offer tours to travelers, tourists and adventurers alike of the town of St. Andrews. As you have seen on photos or artworks about the picturesque fishing villages in the area and the known coastline of Fife, you will be able to get to tour these so called places in the span of one day. I know, probably a teaser, but if you tour with us, surely you will get your money’s worth and would make you wanting and coming back for more.
This activity may seem very short for you, but trust us when we say that you will have one day that is full and exciting, experience Scotland in a different way with a scheduled one day itinerary with your own tour guide and the comforts of your private mini bus.
You may think there is nothing to enjoy with a traditional fishing village, this might come out as a surprise to you then since not only do you get tour these said areas, but you get a tour around the scenic town of St. Andrews which is known for their love of the sport, golf. You will be amazed with their magnificent golf courses and the top UK universities, castle and cathedral.
We leave early from Edinburgh then lets us travel north bound to pass through one of the most renowned man made engineered landmarks the Forth Rail Bridge. The Kingdom of Fife is next in the agenda, be in awe with the very picturesque coastline that is dotted with villages that we bet you see normally on postcards or artworks only. You get the chance to stop by a traditional fishing village of Anstruther, feel like you have traveled back in time walking along their cobbled streets and quaint houses, through small alleyways and of course take a breather along their seafront to the harbor.
If you’re still in that world of Fife, then we must automatically bring you to the medieval ages as we get through the town of St. Andrews. The paradise for golf lovers, this town is home to the oldest golf course that was founded in 1754, also home to the University of Scotland, aging 600 years old just third from Cambridge and oxford respectively. Of course, Scotland will always be known for their magnificent castles, the Falkland Palace is one that will enthrall you with years of history and stories.

Really enjoyed reading your site, so many people only associate Golf with St Andrews, which is understandable as its the ‘Home of Golf’ with so many great courses around the area. But St Andrews has so much more to offer and is a great destination for everyone, not just those who love Golf.
