Many home exchange sites are encountering a significant surge in memberships at the moment. More and more families, couples and individuals are anxious to get away from it all and enjoy a vacation, but don’t want to pay exorbitant hotel or vacation rental charges. So – they are going online and “discovering” the concept of home exchanging.

Home exchange can and will save you a ton of money, because it eliminates all the accommodation costs normally associated with a vacation.
Just a few important tips:

2. Always go with a company that charges a membership fee. Why? I wonder how awkward it would be to “make myself at home” at somebody else’s home? Staying in a hotel is one thing, since there is maid service and I can be a little more “slobish”. But I guess the upside of staying in a home would be a more stable and cleaner environment.

You are right some people who had agreed to do home swapping let their car be used well depending on the agreement of the two sides. Home swapping had been beneficial for travelers in order to save more on their accommodations and live in a comfort of a good house while on travel instead of renting a room in a hotel or hostel.
