Let us take you into a sneak peek of what you will taste with this seven day tour around the best of what Scotland has to offer.
1st day: Meet & Greet and Some More! Upon arrival in Edinburgh, you will immediately be transferred to your hotel accommodation in the heart of the city. After check-in, you will be having refreshments in order you can meet and greet your tour guide and other travel companions. Since everyone will be tired usually on the first day, nothing scheduled will be done, you can opt to do so leisurely but other than that, no planned itinerary is on the agenda.
2nd day: See, See Edinburgh! After a hefty serving of breakfast on your bellies, you will be toured around the city of Edinburgh for the whole morning. Visit the local sites, like the Edinburgh Castle, National War Museum which is located inside the castle, Holyrood House and Arthur’s Seat. Have extra fun as you explore Royal Mile which has four different streets that leads from the castle to the Palace. This area is filled with a lot of entertainments like shops, pubs, cafes, tearooms, museums and churches. Afternoon sets in and since you can’t fit everything in one morning we will keep on going with touring Edinburgh, you can opt to visit the Rosslyn Chapel as seen on the movie Da Vinci Code but paid separately since this will only be an optional tour. As night sets in, you can spend your night however you like it all over town.
3rd day: In fairness, Inverness! Breakfast as usual, and then off to Inverness we go. En route you will be passing by the famous golf course at the Firth of Forth to St. Andrews, then through Dundee, Perth and Pitlochry. As you arrive in Inverness, you immediately get checked in with the specified hotel accommodations.
4th day: To the Highlands and the Isle of Skye alright! This is one of the most visited places in Scotland and having it on your tour is not surprising. You will be going to Loch Ness, ready yourself, this may be the moment you can spot their most famous mythical creature the lochness monster Nessie. Visit a string of castles before you get to the Isle of Skye and admire the natural beauty it offers.
5th day: Glasgow, we go! Before reaching Glasgow, you will be driving through Fort William, where you can view the highest mountain in Britain which is the Ben Nevis. Arriving Glasgow, new accommodations will be made ready for you.
6th day: Glasgow and Lowlands Hurrah! Sightseeing tours around Glasgow are ready for you after breakfast. Getting to visit St. Mungo’s Cathedral and viewing Clydeside, the City Chambers and George Square, after a few more scenic and historical spots, head back to Glasgow to freshen up with the final night with farewell dinner with your tour operator.
7th day: Glasgow, goodbye. Last day is such sweet sorrow, packed and ready to go you will then leave Glasgow to the airport for your separate flights back home.
Nothing beats all those days of adventure all packed in a tour that has everything planned for. Trafalgar Tours – 7 Day Best of Scotland, Edinburgh to Glasgow , should be one of the itineraries that should be included in your next planned vacation. Think about all those days wherein you can see and feel what Scotland is all about. Enjoy this trip with us and for sure you won’t ask for anything else, but a repeat!
