The Beauty of the Bahamas Beaches


If you are looking for that corner in the world that can provide you the sun, sand and the sea, then set your sights on the Bahamas. While the islands boast Bahamasof friendly natives, many historical attractions and many places for fun in the sun, the greatest beauty that can be found in the Bahamas lies in its famed white sand beaches and shorelines.

• The North Shore Beach. Located on Cat Island, this beach boasts of pink sands with very few tourists and locals. This makes this beach ideal for the individual traveler or couple who wants to get away from all the tourist activities in the islands;
• The Pink Sands Beach. This is considered as one of the best beaches on the Caribbean. Spread over three miles, its sands are pink and has become one of the favored tourist destinations on Harbour Island in the Bahamanian archipelago;
• The Fortune Beach. Located on Grand Bahama, this beach got its name as a shipwreck was discovered near the shoreline with treasure worth over $2 million in its decks. Aside from that historical find, the beach is a short one but is located very near the Port Lucaya Marketplace, one of the busiest markets in Bahamas;
• The Paradise Cove Beach. This is located on the southwestern part of the Grand Bahama Island. This is a secluded beach that has great snorkeling dives and wide sand expanses for beach volleyball. The beach is famed for Deadman’s Reef, a marine paradise where wildlife flourishes for all the enjoy;
• The Xanadu Beach. Because of its proximity to the Freeport, this beach is one of the most popular beaches on Grand Bahama Island. Aside from the beautiful waters, the beach has walking access to restaurants and other facilities for the individual and the family;
