The museum authorities have researched and then recreated the apartments to give the museum its present shape. The apartments used to house four different families. At present the museum authorities are working on a fifth apartment.

• Piecing It Together: This tour will enable you to take a closer look at the garment industry. You will visit the Rogarshevsky and Levine family apartments during the one hour tour.
• Getting By: If you are willing to know about the challenges faced by the immigrants, this one hour tour will be ideal for you. This tour will take you to the Gumpertz and Baldizzi family apartments.
• The Confino Family Apartment: This one hour tour is a good choice for families with children. You can touch items, try on clothing and also dance.
• The Moores: this one hour tour will give you an insight into the life of the Irish Catholic immigrants.

The Tenement Museum is open 7 days a week. You can visit the museum between 10 am and 6 pm. The price of tickets for adults is $20. Students and senior citizens can get a ticket for $15. It is free for the members.
